Day 13: Eerie Silence

I've been busy updating a social website with live blogging from the Iranian protests for the past 12 days, and this site only came up in its current form yesterday.

There's an eerie silence from Tehran, as several high profile Twitterers have fallen off the grid. There are public calls now for one of them.

Trolls, possibly Ahmadinejad's agents on Twitter, claim one (OxGi) is in their custody, taunting users to break protocol and call for confirmation, putting the user name in circulation.

On #iranelection some speculate new rallies are called for by the Iranian government, seeking to single out the leaders of the protests and capture them.

Reports indicate that one prominent blogger has gone underground (PeKi).

A young Irani in his late teens (DaSa) has given one message indicating he is all right, but it was brief, mostly in Persian, with one word in English: "butchers".

The effect of what is now called the Baharestan Square Massacre on Wednesday can still be felt on the movement.
